What is your teaching background?
I am a 1st year speech-language pathologist. I received a masters degree in May of 2000.
What is your role in the program?
To provide treatment to children with speech and language needs, consult with teachers, and assess children with suspected disabilities.
What was your biggest concern about switching to Read, Play, and Learn!®?
Finding time to prepare treatment activities and lessons focusing on the modules.
Has your role changed as a result of using Read, Play, and Learn!®?
No.
What have you found most challenging about Read, Play, and Learn!®?
Finding time to collaborate with teachers is challenging because of our work schedules.
What do you like most about Read, Play, and Learn!®?
I like the use of language it encourages from the children as well as the enjoyment of reading books it fosters.
What do you think are the greatest benefits of Read, Play, and Learn!® for the children in your program?
The language enrichment and literacy development.
