On the nature hunt and the walk to the park, the children at this level may enjoy putting objects in a bucket or sack. Label all items, and point out and name other objects of nature.

Functional Level

All of the points mentioned for children at the sensorimotor level apply to these children as well.

Symbolic Level

Let the children brainstorm all of the things from nature (excluding animals and insects) that they can bring inside to study.
