Oral motor: Repeat making the sticky, gooey kisses by placing petroleum jelly on each child’s finger and letting them look in a mirror and apply the petroleum jelly to their lips. They can then kiss the back of their hand and rub the gooey goop into their hand. Repeat with the other hand.

Snack: Serve corn-on-the-cob. Add corn holders to the ends of the small pieces of corn, and let the children roll the corn in a pat of butter or margarine. Discuss which animals, such as deer, eat corn (including humans!). Give children water to drink. (Note: Caution should be taken to check for food allergies with all children at the beginning of the year.)
